HBM was started on 14th of April 2018 after identifying the difficulties Muslim homes were facing in the path of seeking Islamic knowledge. Some of the reasons why HBM was established include:

• Many parents/guardians had difficulties getting teachers for their children or for themselves.
• Some educated and qualified teachers could not get students to teach.
• Many parents/guardians had unreliable teachers who would attend classes as they pleased but the parents had no option but to hold on to them despite their unreliability.
• Unfortunately, some of the parents/guardians have little or no knowledge hence unable to distinguish between qualified and unqualified teachers.

Some parents/guardians had teachers with poor teaching methods hence not benefitting the learners.
